Metro’s vanpool program is a major benefit to help employees save money on their daily commute to work. Employees in cities, multi-tenant buildings, business parks, enjoy learning about the benefits of vanpooling.
Metro's on-going monthly subsidy of up to $400 is the key selling point, providing a financial incentive in this current economic recession. By vanpooling to work, not only can commuters reduce the stress of fighting traffic every day, but they can save thousands of dollars a year on car maintenance, wear and tear, and gasoline. Vanpoolers not only bypass the gas pump-they can also cruise past traffic in time-saving carpool lanes where, on average, commuters save 36 minutes a day.
SBESC and Metro staff are ready and available to hold information meetings at cities, employers, and business parks in the South Bay area. We assist with coordinating meetings and will work directly with employees that are interested in vanpooling.
